I’d been trying to get David on this bike trail ever since it opened up a year or two ago. It’s a 21 mile long rail-to-trail that has been constructed over old train tracks which includes two dramatic 700 foot long, 80 feet high trestles. We started at the Manning trailhead, shaving 6 miles off of the round trip. It’s a gradual uphill ride to Vernonia where we stopped for lunch, and then we coasted most of the way south on the way back.
